The Attorneys At Chapman Law
- Neil Chapman
Helping real people put their lives back together after an accident is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
I wish I could say I spent my entire legal career doing just that, but after graduating from Notre Dame, I did what most people do- I took the first job I could get.
Unfortunately, that meant working for “the dark-side” at a law firm that represented large insurance companies and corporations. My job was to find loopholes to pay the least amount possible to injured people.
While it brought me no joy, I studied the methods and tactics they used to minimize and delay the compensation paid to injured people. I got tired of helping them to save money while real people suffered.
After 4 years I became disillusioned and quit.
In 1998 I joined a law firm that only represented people injured in accidents. I found my true passion- to help people obtain some sense of justice for what they’ve suffered.
Later, I founded Chapman Law- Personal Injury where we stand up to the big insurance company so you don’t have to.
They can’t pull any of their tricks or games on our clients. And we pride ourselves in the personal relationships we have with you.
I first learned how to serve others in the United States Marine Corps, when I joined in 1987 following my graduation from the University of Southern California (USC). In 1994 I was discharged as a Marine Captain and graduated from Notre Dame Law School. I then returned to my hometown of Evansville, Indiana, where I continue to live with my wife and 2 daughters.
Let us serve you while you focus on getting better.

I graduated with distinction from Saint Louis University in 2008. I earned my law degree from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2012. I was recruited out of law school by one of the country’s largest defense firms, where I spent the next three years learning how to try high-stakes cases. In 2015, I returned to my hometown of Evansville to practice with my oldest and closest friend, my father. I am licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Indiana, Illinois and Missouri.
What my academic and professional accomplishments can’t measure or define is my commitment to and passion for my clients. I am motivated by injustice and by a strong sense of fair play. Helping my clients even the score is my highest duty. I strive to provide my clients with the same level of service I would want for myself or my loved ones. This means getting to know you as a person first and an accident victim second. It means being candid with you about the strengths and weaknesses of your case. It means leaving no stone unturned. I treat you as the most important member of your own legal team.

Everyday I have the privilege of making a difference in the lives of others. I have been a trial lawyer for four decades. I represent and work for people experiencing deep loss, pain, suffering, hopelessness and the personal tragedy of injuries, disability or death caused by accidents.
I attended law school at Southern Illinois University and have a masters degree from the University of Notre Dame. Although my trial practice has been diverse, in the past several years I have focused on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. I practice exclusively in the area of personal injury law including automobile/trucking crashes and other incidents resulting in serious injuries or death. I hold licenses to practice in the state and federal courts of Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. As a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and state trial lawyer associations, I promote and uphold the ideals of the legal profession to provide aid and assistance to those in need. Through involvement in the community, I seek to further those professional values for the common good.
